CMC Technology & Solution deploys an automated warehouse for Binh Thuan International Joint Stock Company

On March 29, 2022, CMC Technology & Solution (CMC TS) kicked off the project of implementing an automated warehouse on the SAP B1 platform for Binh Thuan International Joint Stock Company (BTI), aiming to optimize warehouse management processes and enhance production efficiency.

Binh Thuan International Joint Stock Company (BTI) is the exclusive unit in Vietnam specializing in the assembly and production of specialized products such as vacuum cleaners, desk lamps, desk magnifying glasses, etc., for export to the US, Mexico, and other markets.

Until now, all of BTI's warehouse management activities have been manually conducted. Due to the lack of an IT system for automated management, BTI has faced difficulties in controlling inventory. The company frequently encounters risks of incorrect assembly due to mistakenly picking the wrong sample, difficulty in inventory traceability, and inability to real-time monitor inventory levels. Employees and warehouse managers are unable to determine the location of items, resulting in errors when picking the correct batch and lot. Confronting these business challenges, BTI has formulated a comprehensive digital transformation strategy, starting with the automation of warehouse management operations to control operational and production processes.

After conducting surveys and evaluations of BTI's business processes and scale, based on practical consulting experience with similar-scale manufacturing enterprises, CMC Technology & Solution (CMC TS) advised BTI to implement the C-WMS (CMC Warehouse Management) automated warehouse solution developed by CMC TS on the SAP B1 platform. This project marks the first step in BTI's digital transformation strategy.

The C-WMS solution on the core SAP B1 platform is suitable for the warehouse operations of manufacturing enterprises. C-WMS is tightly integrated, seamlessly incorporating all warehouse and inventory management processes. It is fully compatible and capable of integrating with the ERP system to address and fulfill the tasks within the ERP system, boosting the efficiency of Sales, Purchasing, and Production operations, and helping businesses accurately plan material needs, production time, and delivery time.

The C-WMS solution digitizes warehouse and sales operations. Warehouse operations are traceable, making it easy for businesses to trace errors and improve processes, workflows, and minimize mistakes.

With the implementation of the automated C-WMS warehouse, operational, inbound/outbound, and inventory data are all stored directly in a unified warehouse management system. Data is generated everywhere and at any time, instead of being manually inputted only on computers as before, reducing the time spent on manual data entry. As a result, businesses save on operational costs by minimizing paper usage.
