CMC donates 110 computer sets to schools in flood-hit Central provinces
Mrs. Nguyen Phuong Thao - Deputy CFO (CMC TS) and Mrs. Ha Thanh Huong - Chief Accountant (CMC TS) together with Mr. Phan Van Cau - Chairman of the Association, Quang Binh Red Cross, Mrs. Ngo Thi Anh Dao - Rector of Xuan Ninh Primary School represented CMC Corporation to donate the Computer room.
Mrs. Nguyen Phuong Thao, representative of CMC Corporation, shared, “Sympathising with the great losses in the central region, CMC Corporation has launched a fundraising programme towards the Central region. CMC hope that this small contribution will partly alleviate the loss of Central residents in this difficult period. With the computer products produced by CMC, we believe that the students will be able to access to IT in the digital age".
This donation brings a long-term value and practical significance that supported and appreciated by the schools as well as the local residents. Earlier, CMC Corporation launched a fundraising programme "Joining hands with people in the central region to overcome the effects of floods" for those affected by natural disasters in the central region. The total amount of the fundraising comes from the donation of employees.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Ngo Thi Anh Dao - Rector of Xuan Ninh Primary School and Mr. Phan Van Cau - Chairman of the Red Cross Association of Quang Binh province thanked and acknowledged the hearts of members of CMC Corporation in caring and sharing difficulties with the Education sector of Quang Binh province. "This is a very meaningful, practical and timely support, helping the school to replace computers damaged by rain and flood; at the same time, ensuring long-term service for the Teaching and learning. This donation will also be the mean of teaching so that teachers can bring a lot of "soft books" to students, and help them to have opportunity to explore and learn actively. "

| From December 22 to December 26, 2020, CMC Corporationhas implemented the donation programme of 110 CMS computer sets and anti-virus software CMC Malware Detection and Defense (CMDD) with a total value of 3 billion VND for 5 most severely affected provinces by floods in Central region including: Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam. This is an activity in the campaign "CMC joining hands to help the Central region overcome floods". Accordingly, each CMC voluntarily contributes at least one day's salary, joining hands to raise funds to support the people in Central Vietnam during difficult times. |
