Kyocera Vietnam Collaborates with CMC TS to Deploy an AI Chatbot for Internal Knowledge Retrieval on Amazon Bedrock
About Kyocera Vietnam
Kyocera Vietnam is a member of the Kyocera Group (Japan), a diversified multinational conglomerate, and has been in operation since 2021. As a multi-industry company, KYOCERA VIETNAM operates across various fields including Electronic Ceramic Components Manufacturing (SMD); Jewelry Manufacturing (JMD); Optical Fiber Communication Components Manufacturing (META); Electronic Connector Components Manufacturing (CPD); Industrial Cutting Tools Manufacturing (ITD), etc.
The company also maintains a sales organization to strengthen the Kyocera brand and expand its business presence in the Vietnamese market.

The Challenge
In today's business environment, information is a critical asset — yet managing it has become an increasingly complex challenge as data grows more fragmented. Kyocera Vietnam, a large-scale manufacturer, faced this challenge firsthand: employees had to navigate multiple systems such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and eOffice just to look up documents, workflows, or internal policies. This process was not only time-consuming but also led to inconsistent information use across departments.
This was a core reason why Kyocera needed an integrated solution capable of accelerating translation workflows, enabling internal knowledge lookup, and gathering information from external internet sources — all with high accuracy and fast processing speed. Kyocera Vietnam recognized the urgent need for an intelligent knowledge management system to improve operational efficiency and ensure information consistency across the organization.
The Solution
As an AWS Partner in Vietnam with over thirty years of consulting and implementation experience, CMC TS was selected by Kyocera Vietnam as a trusted partner to address this challenge.
Responding to Kyocera Vietnam's need for a smarter solution, CMC TS delivered C-Agent — an intelligent internal chatbot built on Amazon Bedrock powered by the Claude model. The system leverages a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture combined with AWS OpenSearch to index and retrieve information from the enterprise knowledge base stored on Amazon S3.
The architecture is designed for flexible scalability via AWS ECS, ensuring stable performance during peak usage periods. The system integrates AWS KMS for data encryption, AWS PrivateLink with Secrets Manager to secure connectivity, and AWS CloudWatch for real-time performance monitoring.
Key Features
- Internal knowledge lookup: Enables employees to search for documents, workflows, and internal policies through a natural language interface. The system automatically retrieves and synthesizes the most relevant results from multiple data sources.
- Multilingual support: Provides translation and cross-language comprehension across English, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese, enabling fast and contextually accurate communication.
- External information retrieval: Supports the collection and summarization of information from the internet regarding products, technologies, and market trends, helping teams stay informed quickly and efficiently.
Value Delivered
Following the deployment of the AI chatbot, Kyocera Vietnam observed several operational improvements.
- Information search and verification time was reduced from 15–20 minutes to 5–10 minutes per task, as the system automatically retrieves and consolidates results from multiple internal data sources — eliminating the need for employees to manually search and assess accuracy based on personal judgment.
- The volume of manual, repetitive tasks — such as cross-referencing and compiling documents — was significantly reduced, freeing employees to focus on higher-value work that requires analytical thinking and decision-making.
- Output quality, including information accuracy and request processing speed, improved markedly compared to pre-deployment levels. Across many employee workflows, the addition of internal lookup, translation, and external search agents enabled faster and more accurate access to information, contributing to an overall improvement in work performance.
