CMC and The Running Community raise funds for smile surgery

CMC Technology Corporation has successfully organized the CMC Speed Up race for employees, customers and athletes in the CMC community and friends (CFR).
The race was held on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the establishment of CMC Technology Group. Starting from 00h00, Friday, April 22, 2022 to 23:59 Saturday, May 21, 2022. Runners run on their own at any time of the day and calculate the results using the 84 RACE app.
With 1km running of participating athletes, CMC will donate 1,000 VND to Operation Smile, aiming at the goal of 29 children having the opportunity to have cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. Nearly 2500 runners across the country ran approximately 430,000 km after 30 days.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu - Head of the Marketing & Communication Department of CMC, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Run said: "This run is a sports activity with the spirit of people and CMC corporate culture. We take each athlete's minimum completion milestone of 29km to mark the group's birthday. CMC people and the community of runners who love running across the country share the same color, the same beat, live positively for themselves, and contribute efforts so that 29 children with disabilities have the opportunity to find their smiles again.” .
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu, the cost of 10 million VND/surgery is not too much money for middle-class and well-off families. But, with difficult circumstances, it is a fortune.
“45 minutes of surgery and the cost of about 10 million VND can help them have a new life, be confident and integrate into life and contribute better to society. When you run to improve your health and support difficult situations, every step of your run will be filled with love and meaning. Sports change lives,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luu.
Many professional and amateur runners have actively participated in running in response to the CMC Speedup running program to raise the Smile Surgery Fund. Tran Viet Trung, a former CMC employee in Hoang Mai - Hanoi, affirmed that he joined the CMC Speed Up race with the desire that his jogging steps would be more meaningful and contribute a part of the funding to the surgery. This is the second year in a row that CMC has launched a run to support Operation Smile. In 2021, on the 28th anniversary of its establishment, this Group attracts more than 2,000 athletes to participate in the Inspiring Run CMC 28, raising funds to support 28 unfortunate children with cleft lip and cleft palate surgery.
As a parent whose child is sponsored by the surgery program, Ms. Xuan Huong (Ba Dinh, Hanoi), thanked the doctors, organizations and CMC for sponsoring her child as well as many other babies. Others have a better chance of being healthy.
