Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and development of various business intelligence models to support Data Science and Analytics
• Relational database modeling to support the operation and development of ERP systems
• Dimensional modeling to support the operation and development of the enterprise data warehouse
• Design and development of error-processing, logging and notification frameworks and routines
• Design and development of ETL templates, logic and transformations
• Design and implementation of data security methodologies and best practices
• Database refactoring and optimizations in order to meet performance requirements and SLAs
• Assist with the adoption and implementation of industry standards and best practices
• Documentation of systems, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary
• Apply your skills in cloud PaaS, data science, data analytics, and data warehousing to cloud and data services
• Use experience working with Cloud Data & Storage, Cloud Analytics & Cloud IoT tools, as well as the traditional Microsoft BI stack
• Provide mentorship to more junior consultants

Required Qualification

• Minimum of 10 + years of in-depth experience in Data Lifecycle Management, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise level database solutions. Experience managing Agile/Scrum projects a plus.
• Experience with data architecture standards design and implementation (including strategy, user experience, performance, controls, as well as stability, innovation, and enterprise security requirements).
• Strong understanding of master data and metadata management and demonstrated experience and knowledge of multi-tier architectures.
• Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Management and Master Data Management related technologies.
• Proven expertise in managing the delivery of mid-to-large web/enterprise applications needed.
• Strong experience delivering analytic and reporting solutions to meet business needs is a plus
• Technical experience in Microsoft .NET application development is a plus.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SQL DW.
• Experience with No SQL database like Cosmos, Mongo is preferred.
• Strong experience with data visualizations tools like SSRS, PowerBI & Tableau.
• Experience architecting and building data marts, warehouses, etc.
• Experience working with different query languages (i.e. PL-SQL, T-SQL).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of SQL development techniques and complementary business layer and front-end technologies.
• Strong experience with Cloud PaaS services; understands leading practices and adoption patterns.
• Experience in Cloud Big Data Technologies like Data Lake on cloud, HDInsights etc.
• Strong experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms.
• Ability to drive teams to meet consensus and have vivid passion for applications delivery.
• Ability to identify and communicate issues/risks applying technical and root cause analysis skills.
• Self-motivated and pro-active technical leader with strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Agile development environment especially SCRUM using Microsoft VSTS.
• Experience communicating with and influencing business leaders, technology leaders, colleagues, and vendor representatives.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with SAFe or Agile development processes.
• Experience in leading architecture activities like designing, roadmap, & proof-of-concepts.
